The worst thing that can happen to mankind is insanity which will be result due the non-controlling power of mind. Non-control of mind hinders the assimilation of personality. Apart from having a strong sense of will, certain basic disciplines of yoga also help an individual in controlling his mind effectively.

The yoga scriptures insist that in order to control the mind an individual must practice the basic disciplines of yoga namely 'yama' and 'niyama'.

It is often heard people admitting that they keep even minor feelings or irritation well-hidden because they are ashamed of it. As most people's ideas of 'goodness' include benevolence, tolerance, generosity and kindliness, angry or negative feelings are often banished to the private world of fantasy and dreams.

These can, of course, be very natural and safe healing abodes for difficult feelings - as long as we do not hate ourselves for actually experiencing them there.

Holy company is an authentic method taught in the scriptures as well, and if correctly practiced, it can help anybody and almost everybody. There will however be many people, who are so constituted that they cannot take inner care of themselves in such detail, or because their conditions of living are not conducive to the practice of this discipline.

Now, let us focus our discussion on how do we cultivate the will power within us? There are totally eight steps that need to be followed in order to generate the will power in human beings.
They are discussed as follows:

a.First we need to understand what exactly will power is in working terms. It is the positive and creative function of the mind which impels, propels and enables us to do chosen actions in a definite way, and avoid doing unchosen actions equally in a definite way.

Inferiority complex is the declining of an individual's own estimation of himself. A feeling of humbleness, miserableness gradually starts developing within him and he feels that he is left to live all alone in this big family. Life itself becomes hazardous for this kind of person.

Effects of the complex
1.Produces an inability to adapt in different circumstances.

Looking back, we will find that all the notorious evil geniuses in history, who inflicted non-stop, unspeakable sufferings on humanity, such as Hitler and his tribe, also had a kind of powerful will.

That type of will power can only create bondage for one self and sufferings and miseries for others. We as educated, well balanced and sane human beings will never try to develop such malevolent will power.

Whatever may be our undertakings - in the direction of worldly prosperity or spiritual illumination, in spheres secular or spiritual - not one us would like to fail or accept failures light heartedly with smiley faces. Success though we all desire, it must be noticed that in various spheres of life, truly successful men are only handful. Some more people may be found who did attain a moderate level of success in their lives; while many more just simply fail!
