A Confused Prospect Does Not Buy

I received a voice mail from a sales representative:

'The purpose of my call today is to introduce myself and take a moment to briefly describe for you two core-based technologies; laser Internet on-line office and an Internet broadcasting technology. I don't know whether or not if any of these applications may be of interest to you, I would appreciate a brief moment of your time to review that.
Depending on what you are selling, it could be a short cycle of a day or two, or it could be a long cycle of a year or two.

1. Make telephone calls
No one will buy from you if they do not know of you, your company/products/services. Every sale has its own cycle. Depending on what you are selling, it could be a short cycle of a day or two, or it could be a long cycle of a year or two.
Had another conversation with yet another entrepreneur who told me he does not "cold call," he only does "warm calls."

I continue to be baffled by those who cut off possibilities with a semantic twist. "Cold call, warm call," it's simply a state of mind. Your mind. Your prospect does not make those distinctions.

Just because you have designated a call to be "warm" doesn't mean that the person you are calling thinks it's "warm.
