The next to last straw happened a couple of weeks ago when I went to the doctor's office and he said I needed to lose 50 pounds. But even that wasn't enough for me to take being over-fat seriously. No, the last straw happened today when I went to put on my Rolex watch, which I hadn't worn in months, and discovered that my watch didn't fit. Not only do I need fat pants, I also need a fat watch.

The first thing I did to lose 50 pounds is to sit down in a quiet place and come up with a plan. This plan is very simple, but it might not be what you would expect.
The first part of the plan is to visualize a desired outcome or result, and to circle a date on your calendar for when you MUST have this result. The MUST is important. If things aren't a must, then they'll never happen.

Today and yesterday I followed through on several steps, i.e., actions, that are going to get me on the fast track to losing weight. These are also actions that have given me momentum to follow through. I'll explain more later about how important it is to create momentum for yourself.
